I am a licensed attorney based in Sacramento since 2006 with extensive experience in personal injury law. Prior to starting my own firm, I worked with law firms specializing in various personal injury cases.
I’ve also served as a full-time police officer with the Sacramento Police Department for 25 years, personally conducting hundreds of traffic collision investigations. This unique background significantly benefits my clients.
I hold a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Sacramento State University (2000) and a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law (2005), graduating with Distinction and as a member of the Roger Traynor Honor Society.

I am a proud graduate of Chico State, where I earned my B.S. in Criminal Justice with honors. I also have earned a paralegal certificate through UC Davis and am a registered notary.
Before joining the team at Matt Young Law, I gained diverse experience working in various roles at both the Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Superior Court. My dedication to project management and coordination has been recognized with several accolades, including being named employee of the quarter in 2021.
My own journey through a personal injury case after college has given me firsthand insight into the emotional and physical toll these experiences can entail. This personal encounter with the legal system profoundly shapes my approach to client relations.
